"What the fuck just happened to my tv?"

So we had DVR'd (ugh) the last episode b/c of some bullshit family obligations. So when watching the end when it cuts to black, I seriously thought that I fucked something up while recording, or HBO went out, or karma was catching up to me for all of my misdoings. But no no, David Chase wants to leave it up to us! A black screen! Oooh, mystery! What grandeur! Tony should have woken up as Kevin Finnerty next to that ER bitch from the last season. Just as cliche, more probably, but at least that's some sort of resolution to offer us after 7 fucking years.

And it's not like the whole episode was bad. Phil getting whacked and his head getting ran over (Pop Pop) was pretty fucking nuts. Who were those kids in the backseat anyway? Who takes two infants with them when they're on the lamb?

Also Adrianna coming back in cat form was an interesting nod by Chase to all of the skeptics that said she never died. At least that's what I think it was. Why would Christopher ghostcat stare at a picture of himself all day?

So are they leaving it open for a movie or for our own interpretation? We're supposed to wonder about a hit on Tony when he supposedly tied everything up with NY? Why was Meadow having such a bitch of a time parallel parking (there was so much room) and why was it relevant? Would that have delayed her from entering and getting whacked herself? Or was she going to warn Tony about that hatted man? Also, why were they eating in an Applebee's or whatever the fuck that was? They started this season out eating sushi, and at the end they eat onion rings? Maybe that's relevant. And Journey? I have no fucking idea.

I get that it's up to the viewer to make up their own resolution, but I haven't been watching this show for seven years for an ending like that. I watch David Lynch for endings like that. And regardless of the ending, this season was total shit. They opened up all of these plots and for what? To devote most of the episode to what AJ is up to? Fuck that. Honestly they should have just killed Phil in the second to last episode and called that the series finale. At least I wouldn't have to deal with subplots involving AJ in the SERIES finale. Even if that was a season finale it would have bit because as a whole, this season gargled balls.

I'm gonna say fuck the eventual movie and go back to season one to start over. I miss when Junior (and I) knew what was going on with this show.
