Slowpranos

Spoilers obv.

OK really. There are 3 episodes left in this show. Why is it that every episode is disappointing and slow? This show has gotten slower than my grandpa fucking. Also, my grandpa fucks on top of a turtle sinking into quicksand. It's still good writing obviously, but it's really taken them way too long to get to where they are now.

Alright, I'm probably just pissed that Christopher bit it. Yes I know main characters had to die off eventually. But what makes me really irate is that they spent half an episode dedicated to the outcome of Vito Jr yet Chris is killed off in the first 5 minutes of another episode. Whaat?!

I've said this before, but in that episode about Vito Jr the character actually takes a shit in the shower. He then steps into his own shit. I think that action pretty much sums up my feelings towards the show. Vito Jr. is HBO and his shit is The Sopranos. It's like they were speaking through his character. "You have to watch me do this. Now I'm going to step in it, but you can't stop watching. It's the fucking Sopranos."

Obviously I still love the show, I'm not saying the show is totally terrible now. I'm not the type that only watches for deaths/random cuts to fake tits at the Bing (that always seem to interrupt a dramatic scene, what's with that?). I've seen every episode at least twice because I love the show so fucking much. But lately it's questionable.

Honestly, in the most recent episode (A.J's failed attempt, which sounds redundant since he fucks up everything) there were at least 5 visits to the shrinks office. Two for Tony, one for Melfi, and two for AJ I think. Now, believe me, earlier in the show I loved these scenes. It was the perfect vehicle for character development. But come on, there are three fucking episodes left and we have to watch Melfi talk to her shrink? Also, what the fuck was he drinking out of?

We don't need character development on the ones we already know nor do we need them for the characters that aren't relevant. Yes, Vito Jr was the catalyst for the disintegrating relationship between the two families. But really, was the in-depth backstory necessary? Did Chris have to die by Tony's hands? No, not even his hands. He used his two fingers to hold his nose....how fucking anticlimactic. He might as well have killed him by pouring lukewarm chamomile tea on him.

I mean it hasn't all been bad. The entire episode paying tribute to Junior was a great sendoff for his character. I missed the Junior from the earlier seasons. And Paulie and Tony on the boat? That scene was fucking amazing. That is the tension I'm looking for.

I just don't want to see my favorite show turned to shit because the writers want to leave room for a movie. Although that seems to be the direction they're heading since they're taking so long with this war they keep hinting at. Honestly, I'd rather have a show that wraps up nicely. Three episodes left though, hopefully I'll be proven wrong.

P.S: Did you notice all of the previews before the last episode for the upcoming shows on HBO? Fuck, they're not taking any chances.
